Technology / GPS
To ensure the highest possible proof of performance monitoring, Target Marketing supports a full nationwide GPS tracking componant to its delivery services. We have combined individual delivery personal tracking with mapping, direction, speed, date and time stamps and make this information available to our customers online in real-time 24-7-365.
What does this mean?
Target Marketing has confidence in its drivers and services to do each job and delivery the right way, on time, every time. Our philosophy is, why hide it if you are doing it right?
Tracking consits of a highly intuitive user interface with easy to use options. Shown below, select the date in which you want to track and press the Get Results button. All drivers for that day are displayed by name, by job or by phone number (by phone number shown below).
To view detailed statistics of each driver, the user can click on the phone number to display all raw detail.
Drivers or walkers that are moving display in green. Temporary stops displayed in yellow, longer noted stops display in red. Driver speed is displayed and calculated. GPS to address conversion is also displayed to provide a general idea of where that particular driver was at that time.
By checking a driver and selecting the Map Selected Routes button shown here:

A full set up online maps are available. Any number of drivers can be selected to be displayed at one time. Drivers can be distinguished by changing the color of the route in which will display on the map.
Maps have zoom in capabilities down to the street level.

For added security, Target Marketing has implemented a real-time recycling center watch using GPS technology. Although we are confident of our drivers and delivery personnel to do their work properly and professionally, recycling has always been a legitimate concern in our industry. This affects the return on investment from advertisers which ultimately affects the viability of the book publisher and delivery services such as Target Marketing. We take this seriously and have geo-fenced all known recycling centers in the areas in which we deliver.
Our organization receives immediate notification if and when a driver gets too close to any denoted recycling center.
Improvements to our GPS strategy is ongoing and is an investment we make on behalf of our customers.
Target Marketing also offers advanced functionality such as field photo capture, mobile bar code and RFID support, field form support and more at additional costs when required. |
